Description
English: The Native people of Central America, i.e. Mexico as depicted in the Tlaxcalan Cortez facsimile ca. mid 1800’s. The originals are found in the houses of the Tlaxcalans and dates to c. mid 1500’s. This codex was painted by the Aztecs or Texcalans. This particular picture shows Texcalans at Conquest of Michoacan Lienzo. The Aztecs are the ones carrying clubs. They fought other tribes with Nuno Beltran de Guzman (former bodyguard of Spanish Emperor Charles V).
