Disambiguation link notification for July 30

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Cape Cod Baseball League, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kevin Nicholson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:15, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

List of CCBL seasons moved to draftspace

As per WP:CSC An article you recently created, List of CCBL seasons, should not be in main space as there are only redlinks. ""Creation guide" lists—lists devoted to a large number of redlinked (unwritten) articles, for the purpose of keeping track of which articles still need to be written—don't belong in the main namespace. Write these in your userspace, or in a Wikiproject's space, or list the missing articles at Wikipedia:Requested articles." I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Information icon Hello, I'm Archer1234. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Johnny Field, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Archer1234 (talk) 20:32, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for a reference in Johnny Field for the claim about playing with Wareham. You need to add references to the dozens of articles where you added the same claim about playing with Wareham. – Archer1234 (talk) 22:47, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:List of CCBL seasons, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:36, 2 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:List of CCBL seasons

Hello, JonP125. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of CCBL seasons".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Lapablo (talk) 10:34, 31 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Joseph Fitzgerald 1932 USA Hockey.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Ways to improve Melvin Powell

Hello, JonP125,

Thank you for creating Melvin Powell.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Thanks for creating series of American baseball players from Negro league. I would request to add {{WikiProject Baseball |class=Stub |importance=Low |negrolg=yes}} in the respective talk pages.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Amkgp}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Robert Abernathy/Martin Crue

A heads up that File:Robert Abernathy.jpg and File:Martin Crue.jpg are the same image, though I have no idea who this actually depicts. Seems to be an error on Seamheads part as they are using both images and Baseball-Reference followed suit. Penale52 (talk) 15:24, 20 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If these IDs are correct, its Crue, and Abernathy isn't even in the team photo, which would make sense if this is the 1947 team, as he didn't play with them until 48.
Good catch, Penale52. I've removed the image from the Abernathy page, and added a comment in Abernathy's image parameter to alert anyone who might think about using that image for Abernathy in the future. JonP125 (talk) 02:41, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Mo Lisby

Hello, JonP125,

Thank you for creating Mo Lisby.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

What is needed are references from significant coverage about this player, and not their own words; in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS; that is your guide. Lists, Team rosters, pages listing matches and results, databases, Instagram,baseball-reference.com, Facebook, none of these are reliable sources. (There have been changes to the notability guide for sports - see WP:NSPORT ) You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources. A more comprehensive guide is WP:SOURCES ... Providing sufficient references, ideally giving more information about this player, that meet these criteria is likely to allow this article to remain. Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that this article is not suitable for inclusion. Kindly do the needful. Thank you

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.
