Description
English: Blowing Rock is a rocky outcropping, at the town of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, located over 1,500 feet above the Johns River Gorge, in the western part of the state. This picture was taken from the Blowing Rock Park, and shows the Blue Ridge Mountains in the foreground and Grandfather Mountain, the highest point in the eastern escarpment of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the extreme background.
