Years in Congress

There is clearly a mistake with this page, unless we are to assume that this fellow was elected to Congress at the age of ten.

Good catch. Taking a quick look in the US Congress Biography Database, I don't see a record for Jay Cooke. I'll check a few other resources that I have access to. slambo 21:31, Jun 16, 2005 (UTC)
Can anyone get to the bottom of this? My (limited) research has turned up nothing other than copies of this entry to show him as a congressman... --Jrtf83 (talk) 12:17, 16 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Park?

Is Jay Cooke State Park named after this guy? I can't find any direct evidence except that the park is related to railroads and was owned by the st.louis power company, and this guy lived in that city. This article gives a little help [1] -Ravedave 04:14, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"Private Banking" vs. "Private bank"

Just a nit-pick, but since there is actually a talk page, I thought i'd share.

I changed the link to "Private Banking" (i.e.: a type of banking service catering to high net worth individuals) to "Private Bank" (i.e.: a banking firm created as a general partnership, opposed to the current norm of chartering as a corporation). I believe this is the correct type of "Private Bank" in this situation.
