English: This is the front page of the East Florida Gazette's Vol 1. (no. 16). The East Florida Gazette was the first newspaper ever published and printed in Florida. It was printed and published in St. Augustine on Treasury Lane between 1783 and 1784 by two brothers: John Wells, and Dr. William Charles Wells. It was a pro-loyalist newspaper during the American Revolution and this issue covered May 10, 1783 until May 17th of that year. Can be found @ https://www.floridamemory.com/items/show/26931.
