English: The illustration on the stamp shows the Golden Stool of the Joint Provincial Council. This stool is an artistic creation from the 1930s and represents a symbiosis of the Golden Stool of Ashanti and the Golden Stool of the Ga people what shall be a symbol of the inner unity between the peoples of the former Gold Coast Colony.
Deutsch: Die Abbildung auf der Briefmarke zeigt den Goldenen Stuhl des Joint Provincial Council. Dieser ist eine künstlerische Kreation aus den 1930ern und soll eine Symbiose aus dem Goldenen Stuhl von Aschanti und dem Goldenen Stuhl der Ga darstellen als Symbol für die innere Einheit zwischen den Völkern der damaligen Goldküstenkolonie.
