English: "Caption reads: "The strike is on. Col. O." Pedestrians, as well as horse and buggies, surround a streetcar in front of the Metropole Hotel. Signs on the streetcar identify its route as being between the Court House and Long & High. The 1910 Columbus streetcar strike began on July 24, 1910, and lasted until October 18, 1910. Other signs featured in the picture advertise Samuel Knox's business, Knox the Tailor, 67 South High Street, and Coulter Bros Cafeteria, 71 1/2 South High Street."
