Hogan Preparatory Academy is a charter school in Kansas City, Missouri. As of March 2022 it had an enrollment of 450, of which 98 percent were African American.[2][3]

History

The school was founded as a Catholic high school in 1942 and was named for John Joseph Hogan, the first bishop of the Diocese of Kansas City. It became a charter school in 1999.[3][4]

Athletics

The school won its first state championship in boys' basketball in 2011 and won again in 2018.
