Is his middle name actually Simpson? The article on his dad says his dad's wasn't, so.

I have examined all genealogical and historical records and there are no records of the father changing his name from Hiram Ulysses Grant to Ulysses Simpson Grant, only to Ulysses S. grant. Someone made the mistake of assuming or inventing the name as a middle name for the General/President because of his mother's name. Likewise, there are no records indicating Simpson is the middle name of his son. Even his tombstone reads "Ulysses S. Grant, Jr." Daviddaniel37 (talk) 04:14, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
