Hello, I'm TechnoSquirrel69. I noticed that in this edit to The Dhimmi: Jews and Christians Under Islam, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TechnoSquirrel69 (sigh) 00:58, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Eliezer Lipa Jaffe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. v/r - Seawolf35 T--C 07:47, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Eliezer Lipa Jaffe moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Eliezer Lipa Jaffe. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Liz Read! Talk! 08:22, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Rise after falling and Liz: Hi Rise after falling. It would appear to me that the lack of internet English-language references for this person as "Eliezer Lipa Jaffe" would appear to be the transliteration of Hebrew family name Jaffe. There is a Hebrew Wikipedia article about him here. There is no prohibition of using sources that are not in English to write English language Wikipedia articles, nor is there any prohibition of using "paper sources" (books and newspapers that aren't digitized but are considered reliable) to create English language Wikipedia articles. Please do note that automated translations of non-English language Wikipedia articles into English is generally not favourably regarded Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 09:49, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I did not translate automatically, and I am using the sources from the Hebrew version plus new ones, when I am finished translating it I will ask Liz to publish it. Thanks for your input. Rise after falling (talk) 21:33, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
