Acronym Confusion

Acronyms are bad enough but changing them in the middle of a paragraph is ... unfriendly. Pick one - BUA or BUoA. It's not a big deal but makes for a cleaner article. I would recommend the one the Army uses - probably BUA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DaBraunBird (talk • contribs) 19:34, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FM 3-90.6 availability?

The above-referenced field manual is a principal source of information for this article, but when I went to look it up to fact-check it, I couldn't find any available (on or off-line). I have access to nearly every publicly-available database-- could someone point me to a referenceable cite for this?

If such a citation doesn't exist, I'm not sure I can accept this as a Reliable Source WP:RS per wiki policies. 131.96.47.8 (talk) 22:18, 19 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Army FM's can be downloaded from https://rdl.train.army.mil/catalog/catalog/search.html which I believe to be publicly available. Hodorbaker (talk) 21:23, 13 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I did try through there, but didn't have much luck finding the manuals themselves, mainly as it was asking me to input an AKO account login to access them, so I decided to try through Active_FM, which allowed access to the Brigade Combat Team manual, which is now linked on the page, the other three I found through Google searches. From experience, all the FMs that the US DOD doesn't allow the public to access on their official websites can be found being hosted elsewhere on the internet just through a web search using the FM number. – Nohomers48 (talk • contribs) 09:39, 14 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

15 ABCTs not 10

The reorganization information is wrong. https://www.army.mil/standto/archive_2016-12-01 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 214.25.29.6 (talk) 18:25, 1 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

MCoE 3-90 availability

This article cites MCoE Supplemental Manual 3-90, September 2013... this was updated annually from (at least, if not before) 2007 - does anyone have access to a more up-to-date version, as there have been lots of chances in the past three+ years! Discrepancies from a cited source

This edit caught my eye. Out of curiosity, I took a look at the cited supporting source ([1]). Annex B seems to be the relevant portion there, and I see either discrepancies or lack of support there for a number of bits of the detail in the paragraph this is cited to support. I'm guessing that the details in the article were updated over time from information in other sources not cited here. I didn't think it would be useful to correct the isolated problems here without looking at the details in the entire article, so I let this be. Weapons Troop

What is the "(9x ATGM)" supposed to mean? Are there nine platoons within the weapons troop and are all equipped with the M1134 or something? Faith15 21:40, 22 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The UK has Brigade Combat Teams, too.

The Royal Army is reorganising itself into Brigade Combat Teams as a result of the Integrated Review. The current contents should be put under a 'USA' heading or the page should have a (United States) added. Strawbreevee (talk) 11:16, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
