Misstatements about Geobytes position in the industry

I must say, I take issue with the statement in the "Notoriety" section which states:

Geobytes was one of the first companies to build...

with the "proof" being a patent filing in 2001. My company, Digital Envoy, was the first into this space which can be evidenced by the fact that I started the company in 1999. Since I am a competitor (or was, actually) to GeoBytes, I'm not willing to edit this entry to correct this since it may appear inappropriate. But I'd suggest someone more neutral than me make a judgment on this. Anyways, my two cents.

Response to "Misstatements about Geobytes position in the industry"

Geobytes was also founded in 1999, with online evidence of their mapping technology going back to Nov 28, 1999 - see http://web.archive.org/web/19991128173915/http://www.networldmap.com/ - Perhaps the "proof" should be changed from the patent date to this web.archive.org page. (FYI NetWorldMap was the precursor to Geobytes until it's incorporation in 1999. See http://homeland.maine.edu/Connolly.pdf page 10)
