WW2

The info for the end of WW2 seems unsourced and partially disagrees with this source [1] Nil Einne (talk) 04:02, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

E.g. our article

At the end of the war, the total U.S. Army strength in Europe was 2.4 million: two Army groups (6th and 12th), four field armies (First, Third, Seventh, and Ninth), 13 corps headquarters, and 62 combat divisions (43 infantry, 16 armor, and 3 airborne) as well as 7,500 tanks and armored fighting vehicles.

vs above source

At the end of the war, the total U.S. Army strength in Europe was almost 1.9 million: two Army groups (6th and 12th), five field armies (First, Third, Seventh, Ninth and Fifteenth), 13 corps headquarters, and 62 combat divisions (43 infantry, 16 armor, and 3 airborne.)

I should add that the wording being nearly exactly the same but with some details different makes me think that section of our article was copied and pasted from an earlier version or some other similar US goverment source. While this is unlikely to be a copyvio, it still violates policy if it isn't properly acknowledged (in this talk page and preferably in the edit history). Amongst other things, it can lead to confusion over the copyright status of the text.) Nil Einne (talk) 13:49, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
