Andrew Straw

It is troubling that user:Hysteria vandalized this page in the 2nd district section. He removed all relevant information about Mr. Straw, the Goshen attorney running for this seat. In particular, Hysteria removed Straw's work experiences with famous transportation engineer and government performance expert Alan M. Voorhees. Voorhees was one of the founders of the Council for Excellence in Government, which has all former U.S. presidents on its board. It is not puffery for Mr. Straw to say he worked for Voorhees. It is a fact. Straw also worked for the Indiana Supreme Court as statistical analyst and judicial technology staff member. He provided part of the design for the Court's webpage. He was also an assistant dean at the Law School in Bloomington. There is not a word of puffery there. All facts.

Hysteria also falsely said that Straw only has an exploratory committee. He announced his candidacy 2 months before Mullen, on May 5. He was in the FEC system on May 7, something easy to verify. Finally, Hysteria deleted Straw's campaign link. My recommendation is that Hysteria's account be deleted for purposely and falsely attacking the information about a candidate running for Congress.--98.213.3.48 (talk) 02:38, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do I really need to respond to this silliness? I suppose I'll just point out that the threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth, and also recommend that, if such a level of detail on Mr. Straw's life & career can be verified, the concerned editor above consider creating an article on the subject. – hysteria18 (talk) 13:55, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hysteria is a truth-challenged individual who removed all of the original links about Straw, and is now challenging us to find the links he deleted. Hysteria's account should be closed as he is probably a sockpuppet for the Mullen or Walorski campaigns.--98.213.3.48 (talk) 18:17, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Straw's committee was easy to find. It took about 30 seconds to find at the FEC website.
When Mr. Straw is elected, then he will be notable. Until then, it would be considered vanity for him to have a page on his own, although he has some interesting employers and experiences. Those who want to know these basics about him should be able to find it here because the media has covered his background already.--98.213.3.48 (talk) 23:38, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Elkhart Truth covered his announcement back in May, as did several other papers. It is obvious that Hysteria is a vandal on this page and needs to be removed.--98.213.3.48 (talk) 18:24, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yet another vandal on the page. He removed all of the information about Mullen this time. Mullen has admitted to cheating on his homestead exemption in order to lower his property taxes. His wife has never tried to hide the fact that she worked for Speaker Boehner and it has been covered in the media. Trying to hide his transgressions will not make them go away. As the race heats up, people will ask why these highly relevant verified facts are not here. Wikipedia needs to stay diligent with respect to these vandals.--98.213.3.48 (talk) 01:06, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'd recommend you take a look at what is not vandalism. We resolve disputes by cooperating to achieve consensus, not by namecalling. Thanks. – hysteria18 (talk) 18:24, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I looked at that, Hysteria, and I found there what vandalism IS:
Blanking, illegitimate

Removing all or significant parts of a page's content without any reason, or replacing entire pages with nonsense. Sometimes referenced information or important verifiable references are deleted with no valid reason(s) given in the summary. - You are SO BUSTED. That's just what you did. It was all referenced and verified, but you slashed it out.--98.213.3.48 (talk) 10:45, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hysteria continues to try to blank out large portions of the district 2 section with a new blanking friend. Will someone please inform him/them of proper behavior? All of that information was relevant to the section, verified and referenced, and within Wikipedia's rules.--98.213.3.48 (talk) 01:53, 15 October 2011 (UTC) Guess we're back to the vandalizing and blanking. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.213.3.48 (talk) 03:57, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hysteria, quit deleting references and then stating that the things you delete were not referenced. You have deleted paragraphs worth of material from the 2nd district race.--98.213.3.48 (talk) 23:56, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

98, I agree with Hysteria, the material is WP:UNDUE and doesn't belong. You also appear to have a conflict as I believe you are Straw, as I've stated at WP:ANI. You should stop editing the article. You should also not bandy about the terms "vandal" and "vandalism" when neither applies.--Bbb23 (talk) 02:40, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
MORE BLANKING VANDALISM -- BBB23.--98.213.3.48 (talk) 04:26, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
And I can "bandy" it about all I want, as you are acting like a vandal, just like Hysteria18. You didn't even check the links, you just deleted. As far as anyone can tell, YOU are Mullen or one of his friends, and Hysteria18 the same. Hysteria deleted Straw completely at one point, even though he was the first one in the race. You can "believe" whatever you want, but you and Hysteria are attacking Straw's information. It is you who are biased and doing the blanking, not I.--98.213.3.48 (talk) 04:31, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is why you guys attacked my userpage and left the bristly comments. My campaign will not be won or lost on Wikipedia. Not even 1% of my voters will read this page. I really don't care what you put here, but saying I am an attorney is about as basic as it gets. That's my occupation. If people want to read more about me on my campaign site, it is listed. Not really sure why we are having this discussion.--MoebiusFlip (talk) 05:43, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

District 9

Well, my attempt to remove some extraneous text--someone else's obviously incorrect referencing attempt--backfired badly. I humbly apologize and hope that someone can fix my unfortunate clean-up attempt. Rontrigger (talk) 05:00, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm attempting to create a page for Shelli Yoder, the former Miss Indiana beauty queen turned Congressional candidate in the 9th and endorsed by Howard Dean. Previous attempts to create a page were denied because of bad references. I have tried to go in and create a more balanced and well-referenced page, but I'm not exactly sure if I'm supposed to delete the other previous attempts, which may be confusing as all of the attempted pages and my own is somewhat mixed together. Any help would greatly be appreciated.--Wy_harvard) August 31, 2012. —Preceding undated comment added 23:39, 30 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
