Untitled

Boston Cannon's roster is outdated. I am changing it to the current roster (2009). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.2.188.211 (talk) 23:27, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Split page into Boston Cannons (MLL) and Boston Cannons (PLL)?

Functionally these are different teams, they were in different leagues, when they joined the PLL they received a new roster, and while it can absolutely be argued that they're the same organization since they kept the history, I'm unsure if that really matters so much when they switched leagues and didn't even keep the same roster. As someone who covers the league professionally, I would recommend these pages remain together. While a new roster was allocated, these franchises are functionally the same thanks to the PLL and MLL's merger. The PLL specifically used the language of absorbing the Cannons franchise into the PLL when that merger was completed. The PLL retains the MLL's history, and the Cannons retain their previous history. As noted on their socials and website, the Cannons franchise boasts the MLL team's championships, and the establish date of 2001 is in their branding. Like the Denver Outlaws, I consider it like the Cleveland Browns returning to the NFL with its history intact. 134.48.109.82 (talk) 14:49, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
KEEP This is always a sticky issue. Are they the same corporation- no. But is the Cleveland Browns and Charlotte Hornets can both take the history of their teams (especially Charlotte), then these two should be in the same article. I think it just needs to be made VERY CLEAR the difference between the MLL years and PLL years. (Bes2224 (talk) 00:23, 23 November 2023 (UTC))[reply]
