Hair from the tail of a deer

I learn from http://www.thefreedictionary.com/bucktail that a bucktail is the hair from the tail of a deer, presumably a buck rather than a doe. It is also a term for fishing lures. I am not sure how to add this information to this article, or perhaps to make it a separate article, or even to have it elsewhere. I hope someone else can decide what to do.--DThomsen8 (talk) 13:00, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This particular article makes it sound as if the opposition of the Bucktails to the Erie Canal was substantive. The Wikipedia article on the Erie Canal Commission which covers the opposition to to Dewitt Clinton in somewhat greater depth seems to clearly indicate that the opposition was strictly political rather than over policy. I would be curious to know if anyone can shed some light on this controversy. Jljacobson (talk) 23:50, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
