Thanks to Lambiam for randomly bringing me here. The talk page archives give some indication as to the how and why Perle acquired this nickname, but as a reader, its presence in the article without the accompanying descriptions leave me wanting to know more. I don't know the answer, but it looks like he acquired the name from being associated with SDI? Strangely, he isn't mentioned in that article. Viriditas (talk) 23:37, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
