Patricia Green was 40 years old, not forty three when their daughter Maura was born. Green's son, William J Green IIII, is currently running for City Council in Philadelphia.162.83.188.61 23:59, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've followed Mayor Green's career fairly closely and thus have edited this article not only for historical accuracy and overall style but to remove the bias that previously marred its credibility. All three generations of these Philadelphia, Pa. politicians are commonly known as Bill Green, so the current title for the youngest Bill Green should be redirected to the main Bill Green disambiguation page.

Also, the third Green self-identified as "Bill" during his political career:

Also, President Jimmy Carter referred to him as "Bill Green" in this 1980 campaign speech, when Green was Mayor of Philadelphia. A 1979 White House memo to President Carter (p. 12) frequently uses "Bill Green".
Scholarly works that use "Bill Green" include this 1997 book Making Local News, as well as this 2014 UPenn biography of Green's successor Wilson Goode. The 2007 book Lyndon B. Johnson: Towards the Great Society, February 1, 1964 - May 31, 1964 uses "Bill Green III".

For the youngest Bill Green, his official website uses "Bill Green", and news media uses "Bill Green IV" at times, like this 2015 Philly.com article, Philly.com in 2013, this 2015 Philadelphia Magazine article, and this 2015 PoliticsPA article.

Finally, about William/Bill Jr., despite more google results for "William J. Green Jr." Congress vs. "Bill Green Jr." Congress, I can find many uses of "Bill" for Junior over the years:

A 1961 story in the Delaware County Daily Times.
A 1964 Associated Press story reprinted in The Evening Standard in Uniontown, Pennsylvania has a headline: "Congressional Bid by Bill Green Jr." (actually referring to Bill III as "Jr." somehow).
This 2008 Philadelphia Magazine profile of the Green political dynasty is consistent in using "Bill" for all three generations.
