Description
English: " Old Slave Block, St. Louis Hotel" Note: Saint Louis Hotel, New Orleans, Louisiana, at the corner of St. Louis and Chartres streets. Slave auctions were held in this hotel rotunda, which had also served as the site of carnivals and balls. The St. Louis Hotel was damaged during a 1915 storm, it was demolished in 1917.
