Summary

Description A man stands on a burned out car as fires burn behind him on East 29th Street, near the intersection of South 26th Avenue, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States during the morning hours on May 28, 2020. The fires were caused by acts of arson during the riots in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd by a police officer. At left is the 7 Sigma factory and a warehouse building that was destroyed. At right, is the under-construction Midtown Corner apartment building that was also destroyed. Several other residents and bystanders are in the street observing damage. In the background, a firetruck is spraying water on a fire at a warehouse building.
