NPOV Neutral Point of View

I agree there needs to some middle ground if information about this project is to be included on this page. One of the core tenets of editing for Wikipedia is writing with a neutral point of view. Everyone has opinions and this in not a place to post one sided opinions. If you want to discuss adding information about the project on the Buffalo Bayou page I suggest we discuss the points to be included and come to agreement about what should be added and the wording that should be used to give readers the information they need to arrive at an informed opinion. It may also be better to create a separate page about the project since it is only a small part of Buffalo Bayou which this page is intended to be about. Blogs or forums are a better place for turning public opinion toward your own. This site is meant to be unbiased. That is why I removed the section until more balanced information can be developed. I posted my suggestion that the information be removed for bias before to get some conversation going but none was made. So I deleted the information until some better material can be developed. --Bugonaharley (talk) 15:07, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete biased information about Memorial Park Demonstration Project

The section called "Controversy on Buffalo Bayou" should be removed due to its is biased nature. The information appears to be added by an activist group opposing the project. The content makes derogatory and inflammatory statements about individuals and contains false information in attempt to promote the groups independent views. -Bugonaharley — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bugonaharley (talk • contribs) 14:37, 8 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Shorten Sections

The "Restoration of the Bayou" section needs to be shortened. This might be accomplished by separating this section into "Restoration of the Bayou" and "Bayou Modernization". Some of the new community uses for it do not necessarily fall under "restoration" but rather "modernization". Other ideas and opinions are welcome. 64.128.27.82 (talk) 21:35, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Buffalo River name found in old maps

I found some old maps which called this the Buffalo River: http://books.tax.hctx.net/v060/AE1997_Vol_60_0139.jpg and http://books.tax.hctx.net/BlockBooksPDF/v060/AE1997_Vol_60_0139.pdf WhisperToMe (talk) 01:50, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

tidewater

Information I can find indicates that the Buffalo Bayou is tidal from the vicinity of downtown Houston downstream to its mouth. This is important information but is for whatever reason, not included in the main article. It should be added. Famartin (talk) 22:32, 29 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
