Battle of Round Mountain

Escondida is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Socorro County, New Mexico, United States. Its population was 47 as of the 2010 census.[4] Interstate 25 passes through the community.

Geography

Escondida is located at 34°06′05″N 106°53′47″W / 34.1014552°N 106.8964163°W / 34.1014552; -106.8964163.[3] According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the community has an area of 0.135 square miles (0.35 km2), all land.[4]

Education

It is within Socorro Consolidated Schools.[6] Socorro High School is the comprehensive high school of the district.
