The second paragraph of this section did not contain any appropriate citations. I added the citation to John Sugden's book, which describes Lalawethika's outsider status. I also changed the phrase "the laughingstock of his community" to "an outsider to his community", because there is nothing in the Sugden citation to indicate that Lalawethika was "the" laughingstock, just that he was not popular. Look, I don't believe in ANYTHING supernatural, and certainly don't believe Tenskwatawa could see more than a century into the future. Still, shouldn't there be some mention of the supposed Presidential curse that he placed on the future President William Henry Harrison and various of his successors on behalf of his defeated (and killed) brother Tecumseh?

I'll admit it was a pretty weird spell to cast--I mean, given the only-every-two-decades stipulation--and that some historians dispute it was ever voiced in the first place, yet it IS quoted in full in Roger Matuz's massive Presidential Fact Book (including the line "Harrison will die, and after him every Great Chief chosen every twenty years thereafter shall also die.") True, it doesn't specify "in office", so by that criterion, even the assassination-surviving Reagan qualifies! (And I suppose you could argue that Great Chief refers to Chief Justices, though obviously WHH never served in that role.)

And yeah, it doesn't take much of a seer to foresee that every member of any certain group will die. Still, given the persistence of this curse-or-myth, shouldn't it be detailed herein? [signed] FLORIDA BRYAN 99.99.22.25 (talk) 09:27, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why does the article repeat a lot of similar points? For example his death is mentioned 3 times in different sections. KAVEBEAR (talk) 00:17, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There seem to be a lot of problems, and not just the repetition noted by @KAVEBEAR. Examples: The Prophecy section does not actually mention his prophecy; neither does the rest of the article. In fact, the entry seems to do little other than beat around the bush on the whole subject that actually defined his grievances with the US and launched him as an historical character. If this is not an orphan, could someone with subject matter expertise take a shot at improving it, please? I will help in any way that I can, but I can seeking knowledge, not bearing it.
