Suomi: Ähtävän ja Purmon liityttyä Pietarsaaren maalaiskuntaa 1977, Pietarsaaren mlk vahvisti itselleen uuden vaakunan 1984. Kunnan nimi vaihtui 1989 Pedersören kunnaksi.
