decedent?

If Larsen is "a decedent of Joseph Smith," doesn't that mean he's dead? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1012:B011:715B:406D:504A:3417:A71A (talk) 22:51, 4 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Photo

The photo is captioned: The headquarters of the Remnant Church as seen Community of Christ's temple. I'm confused. Is this supposed to mean "as seen *from* Community of Christ's temple." ? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.40.69.13 (talk • contribs) 23:23, December 6, 2005 (UTC)

Yes, that would be correct. --Blainster 22:59, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Recent POV edits

@Bryan.millet: As I noted in my edit summaries, there are multiple issues with your recent edits ([1]), not the least of which is that they do not adhere to WP:NPOV. For example, we cannot say in wikipedia's voice that Joseph Smith "restored" the church, which would violate NPOV. We can say he organized it, which is NPOV and verifiable, and this is the pattern that we follow because of NPOV on all the other churches in the Latter Day Saint movement. Also, your edit on "restored doctrine" is similarly problematic. It could be more NPOV by changing "revealed doctrine" to "their interpretation of scripture", and I will try making that change here shortly. With regards to the redlinks for Terry W. Patience, it would be a lot easier if we had multiple independent sources, meaning non-church sources, about him to establish his notability. It would also be a lot easier if another editor had not recreated the article multiple times despite the deletion discussion, the response to which is that the article cannot be created now without significant bureaucratic efforts. Per WP:BRD, please self-revert and discuss here on the talk page so that a consensus can be reached before re-inserting the challenged edits. --FyzixFighter (talk) 13:41, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
