Walnut Township is one of eleven townships in Montgomery County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,303 (down from 1,394 at 2010[2]) and it contained 568 housing units.[3]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.41 square miles (94.3 km2), all land.[2]
