The role of a newspaper editorial in establishing notability for an article needs clarification on Wikipedia. Is an editorial to be entirely ignored as not considered as part of the notability debate, or can an editorial be used to establish that an issue/person has become recognized by the press in addition to being the subject of reliable source coverage?
