I've never heard of a successful Italian invasion of the south of France. According to my records, Italy declared war on June 10, 1940, and didn't succeed in capturing Nice or any serious part of the national territory

They suffered heavy casualties during that week. By no means did Italy have the possibility to capture 127 artillery pieces.

I think this equipment was given to Italy , folowing the surrender of France . The word " captured " is certainly abusive 2A01:CB00:456:9C00:4C9A:4F95:C02A:4FB8 (talk) 14:13, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
