I believe the Secretary of State section under President Benjamin Harrison needs to be modified. According to Calhoun (2005), Benjamin Harrison, pp. 74-77, Blaine was often absent from his position of Secretary of State and President Harrison to on the burdens of Secretary of State. Harrison would make the State Department Documents and then send them to Blaine for signature. Blaine stayed in Bar Harbor, Maine for the hot Washington Summers and left Harrison to attend State Department matters. Cmguy777 (talk) 17:18, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Should James G. Blaine Society be added as a See also? Although it was named after him, it really had nothing at all to do with Blaine, so maybe it doesn't even merit a "See also" mention. As this article has reached FA status, I figured it best to post this message and let someone with more involvement and interest decide whether or not to include it, instead of simply adding it myself. Great article! I think your inclination is correct, though, the organization is named for him precisely because it has nothing to do with him. I can't think of a way to fit it into the article's narrative, and even a "See also" might be too much. You might want to add it to the James G.
