Church Spires?

How do church spires work into the tallest building categories? Although there are no church spires over 200 feet that I know of, according to The Tulsa Preservation Commision, Holy Family Cathedral was the tallest building in Tulsa between 1919 and 1925 when the Mayo Hotel was built. Since there weren't any buildings with more than two stories in Tulsa until the 1900s the it should be possible to research what were the tallest buildings prior to 1912. The first three story building was the New State Hotel (image). With a little research I could dig up the later tallest buildings. Dsmdgold (talk) 17:29, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted Tallest proposed section

The proposed The Westin at Tulsa Garden Square has not been approved after five years, and there is no indication whether the project will be performed. No other high rise projects are known to be active. Therefore, I believe it is inappropriate to maintain this section on the main page, and have removed it.
