The Nebraska City News-Press is the oldest newspaper in Nebraska. It was first published in 1854 and edited by Julius Sterling Morton - founder of Arbor Day and President Grover Cleveland's Secretary of Agriculture. The paper is published once a week on Fridays[2] in Nebraska City, Nebraska,[3] the county seat of Otoe County.[4]

The newspaper announced April 20, 2023, that it would add a paywall to its website starting that May.[5]
