Rights or human rights?
The lead currently states: "Civil and political rights are a class of rights" linking to Rights. Would instead human rights make for a better link? Are civil and political rights human rights or just rights?--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 11:46, 7 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've long been kind of unclear on why exactly wikipedia has separate articles on Rights and Human rights. The latter are obviously a subset of the former but also clearly the largest subset of the former; only animal rights would be non-human rights. So it seems like for the most part the contents should be identical, but obviously they are not, and I've never really been sure what to do about that. --Pfhorrest (talk) 09:46, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Difference between civil & political rights?
I'm confused as to why these aren't separate articles? Why are they conflated in this manner? DN (talk) 00:44, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"These organizations serve a variety of causes one being the AFL–CIO," - I don't see how the previously mentioned organisations can be said to serve the cause of the AFL-CIO. Masonmilan (talk) 15:55, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
True. Could it be that two sentences got combined by accident? Maybe they were trying to say: "Another one being the AFL–CIO, which is America's union that represents the working-class people nationwide. These organizations serve a variety of causes." 23impartial (talk) 18:22, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
