This is the site where the last spike was driven into the first continuous continental railroad on August 15, 1870. The exact spot is not marked. The inset shows a small monument that marks the event. Located in Strasburg's Lyons Park, the marker is on the right side of the railroad tracks near the viaduct in the distance. |
