This is an unusual, prominent and famous event. And in addition, the event was recorded in a photograph. A man who protected several people with his bare hands and was killed in the process. He is considered a "hero" in Israel. And he was talked about a lot in the Israeli media.[1][2][3][4][5][6] [7][8][9] Eladkarmel (talk) 15:08, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Change "Shapira reportedly attempted to inspire hope for th hose in the shelter, by telling them that the Isreal military would arrive soon. Shapira stood closer to the exit, telling those who were next to him that of the shelter was attacked by militants or grenades, he would throw the grenades back." to "Shapira reportedly attempted to inspire hope for those in the shelter by telling them that the Israeli military would arrive soon. Shapira stood near the exit, telling those next to him that if the shelter was attacked by militants or grenades, he would throw the grenades back." Corrects grammar & spelling. Aner ShapiraDeath of Aner Shapira – This is a classic one-event biography. I think that the event is notable, but not the person. I suggest renaming the page to reflect this. Other similar(ish) pages in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Israel%E2%80%93Hamas_war_hostage_were similarly renamed. Mason (talk) 01:03, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Support - per nom and WP:1E. Notability overall is questionable, but alas that would be a discussion for AfD. estar8806 (talk) ★ 01:33, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Alternative “Killing of” would be more appropriate per the use by RS. FortunateSons (talk) 12:36, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm equally fine with "Killing" versus "Death". Mason (talk) 21:27, 25 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
