Wondering how to edit this U.S. City Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Cities standards might help.

Continuing Edit War on Arthur Dowdell's actions

Why is this still here? It gets removed then re-added back. Why not make an article about it and link it back from the Auburn article?

It doesn't fit on the article at all really as it has nothing to do with the city in respect to Auburn, AL and information about the town. I think it needs to live on its own page if it is noteworthy enough. Jasgrider (talk) 18:49, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Inaccuracies on age of Appalachian rocks

The figure on age of Appalachian rocks being 3.5 billion years old I can assure is completely wrong. the oldest rocks in alabama are likely to be somewhere in the 1-1.5 billion range instead. I can certainly find geological references to back that up. The northern part of alabama probably falls inside of the grenville province geological region which was formed and added to north america around 1 billion years ago. Of course, there is often younger rock strata on top of those older rocks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Millueradfa (talk • contribs) 23:42, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Good catch. The actual age should be 1.05 billion years. ([1]) -- Lissoy (talk) 12:49, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
