Most news sources are calling it Xynthia. See European windstorm names for how names are chosen. Seems that people adopt them via the Free University of Berlin. Jolly Ω Janner 20:30, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah it was Xynthia. From what ive researched this week both low pressure areas and high pressure areas that affect Europe are named by Free University of Berlin, with the only exception coming when a Named Tropical Storm or their remnants affect Europe.Jason Rees (talk) 21:08, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone have that issue where, when you click the link to this article on the main page of the English Wikipedia, you're directed to this article... but half the page is in French. The Search button suddenly reads Recherche, and other stuff like that. Is it just me, or does something malfunction badly here? 78.27.9.130 (talk) 14:14, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This did partially affect the UK didn't it? There was intense rainfall across the South-Eastern corner which caused some localised flooding, nothing compared to what happened in Europe, but still noteworthy rather than saying it didn't affect the UK at all, surely? Yeah it did partially effect the UK, but be carefull when finding sources talking about localised flooding as their was another system (Wera), that affected the UK last weekend.Jason Rees (talk) 21:22, 5 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
