Dubious tag

I changed the sentence about Towanda Plaza to state that it is in Bloomington and not Normal, which is the case. Also, I don't think the Towanda Plaza site was the first "campus". I think that HCC was initially housed at Landmark Mall, on College Avenue, way out near Veteran's Parkway. I haven't been back to town in a few years, I'm not even sure it is still there.--IvoShandor (talk) 06:03, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Clubs & Activities Section

This section was recently removed from the page on the grounds that it was "unsourced" and that "there was no clear criteria for highlighting these groups." The section included 18 (with the addition of the Political Science Club) clubs or student organizations that were at Heartland. While these are unsourced, it is important that as many as possible are listed to provide students an example of what they can participate in during their time at Heartland.

Additionally, I find it very odd that this section was removed only 2 hours after the prior edit was made (which was the inclusion of the Political Science Club). 69.174.173.120 (talk) 14:08, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is an encyclopedia, not an admissions brochure; we have no obligation nor a desire to provide a list of student organizations for perspective or current students of this college.
The timing of this edit is very easy to explain: The edit to add the most recent club is what pushed this article to the top of my watchlist and what drew my attention to that specific section. ElKevbo (talk) 22:02, 29 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
