The result of the move request was: page moved. Andrewa (talk) 23:44, 18 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Interstate 480 (Iowa–Nebraska)Interstate 480 (Nebraska–Iowa) – Westernmost state needs to be listed first, per WP:IH. Greggens (talk) 20:37, 11 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I wholeheartedly agree that this page should be moved, but a redirect should still exist at the old name. This proposal should be listed on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject U.S. Roads. Charlotte Allison (Morriswa) (talk) 02:27, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Morriswa: any move like this would create a redirect, and the request will appear on WP:USRD/AA in the next updates. (The whole point of that page is so that we don't have to clutter WT:USRD with notices.) Imzadi 1979  04:55, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
At least one of the recent requested moves mentioned something about not leaving a redirect. Charlotte Allison (Morriswa) (talk) 17:35, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Moving pages without leaving a redirect is only to be done in very limited circumstances. There is no reason to believe that we wouldn't leave a redirect. None. –Fredddie 22:35, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. And if a move is done by a non-admin, they don't even get the option of suppressing the redirect creation. Andrewa (talk) 23:37, 18 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. This is a non-controversial application of a non-controversial WikiProject guideline (WP:IH § Naming conventions: "If the Interstate enters more than two states, then list all states in the name, beginning with the western/southernmost state.
