Bayesian concept?

Concerning this article I've a general question. The concept seems to differ somewhat from the standard frequentists' view that one can not infer from a drawn number onto its distribution. The subsection "Hypothesis testing" shows that it is useful in frequentist statistics theory. The brief mention of Bayesian stats seems to indicate a "result" rather than something that is useful in any way. Melcombe (talk) 12:51, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
