As i just noted at Talk:National Register of Historic Places listings in Stamford, Connecticut for that list-article, i notice here also that an editor has added neighborhood/section identifications in a column, but with no source given for the column's information as a whole or for individual items. Having seen the consequences of permitting unsourced, personal knowledge-type info in other cases, and having learned from the experience with another CT city that neighborhood definitions can be surprisingly contentious, I am of the opinion that unsourced information should not be allowed, should be rooted out upfront. Can sourcing be added promptly? If not, I expect to delete the info given. One approach to creating info about neighborhoods and getting that validated would be to start and develop a List of Greenwich, Connecticut neighborhoods. In the absence of clear definitions and sources, the info should be deleted from here though. --doncram (talk) 06:57, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The editor who put in the neighborhood info declines to provide sourcing, in discussion at Talk:National Register of Historic Places listings in Stamford, Connecticut, so I will remove that info now from this article too. Discussion of sources and development of good info on this, at the Greenwich, Connecticut article's neighborhoods section or elsewhere, would be appreciated. --doncram (talk) 16:14, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm noticing further edits to add mention of places being "in northern Greenwich" or elsewhere, which seem to be unnecessary verbiage. Sources or not, those should usually be removed. I removed some, see Polaron adding some back. I grant that a link to a neighborhood name, for a place named Neighborhood Station, could be useful. For the others, excessive location info on top of addresses and coordinates is not helpful. --doncram (talk) 18:15, 4 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
