Measurement

The North American High measured 1045 millibars of pressure on January 5, 2006. Accordingly, the highest pressure has been changed from 1040 to 1050 millibars. 71.240.88.147 02:23, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Canadian analysis charts On March 18, 2006, the highest pressure is at 1053 millibars over Northern Canada. The cell is not moving, which is rare. The Siberian High is now at merely 1025 millibars. The high pressure cells are out of kilter, seemingly. This condition is unusual and interesting, too. 71.240.107.239 13:26, 18 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Greek???

Is the Greek note ("anticyclone" + "genesis" from Greek word...) absolutely necessary? It seems out of place, particularly when there are plenty other articles with terms like this that do not go into the etymology. I'm just wondering if that bothers anyone else, or if anyone else thought it as excess? Sir Ian (talk) 18:44, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Lead section and Description

Dear Wikipedians, I have added citations to a couple sentences for verification because they didn't have any references connected to them. I have also changed some words to reflect a more encyclopedic tone.
