Expansion needed

Could use serious expansion - one of the most influential figures in American sports/entertainment. I want to know what he was doing before being elected commish.

Any good biographies on him? Robert C Prenic (talk) 21:47, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think this page has been lost in the wikipedia trash heap and could use a total re-do Kika chuck (talk) 20:46, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

POV issues

This is a very biased article, favorable to Mr. Tagliabue. The article contains multiple statements that are not substantiated and merely represent the author's opinion. Example: the author praises the competitive balance in the NFL and says that small media markets have done very well. But one can easily state the opposite and say that Kansas City, Cleveland, Buffalo, Cincinatti, are perpetual losers and as small market teams, have fared no better than small market MLB or NBA teams. The article also states that NFL revenues "tower" over the MLB and NBA, but that is simply false: both NFL and MLB revenues for 2007 were in the $6.5B-$7B range. The NBA is not far off the mark. Agreed - it is ludicrously biased. I'm going to pare down the "Criticism" and "Praise" sections, removing anything not specifically cited. SixFourThree (talk) 17:44, 19 February 2010 (UTC)SixFourThree[reply]
This is unbelievable. Though it's not mentioned specifically in the article, I think we can assume either a)Tagliabue's mother is alive, well, and editing Wikipedia, or b)some junior-league sportsfan has a man-crush on "Tags". Unbelievable bias. 74.178.230.17 (talk) 11:33, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

One bad edit can spoil the whole bunch . . .

Here's where the vast majority of that crap comes from: an anon IP edit, done over three years ago, that no one has apparently questioned. It is the only edit ever done by said IP.

I'm going to look for cites, and anything uncited will be cut, period. 74.178.230.17 (talk) 12:26, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've been watching this today, and it looks a lot better now with all that unsourced material removed - nice work. (Even if it had been sourced, it had far too much weight placed on it for such a short biog article - see WP:UNDUE) -- Boing! said Zebedee 14:07, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Broken header

Can someone fix this page? The whole header is messed up, and I don't know enough to fix it. Mikealot (talk) 20:14, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've fixed it. Jezebel'sPonyoshhh 20:32, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism?

Why even have a "criticism" section when there's literally ZERO data in it? Atari2 (talk) 00:18, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

NFL Europe

it has been said that the world league of American Footbal / NFL Europe / NFL Europa was mostly his brainchild. imho it is at least notable that on of the first things his successor did was end the NFL Europe after the 2007 season... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.30.210.129 (talk) 23:40, 27 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of material

I've removed a large paragraph of material as it uses almost the entire paragraph to make allegations against a third party. Negative content can be included in articles as long as it is supported by reliable sources and is not undue, however this portion of BLP policy applies in this case. --Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 16:43, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
