The {{pp-vandalism}} template

  • Hello, Extremecircuitz. I see that you have placed the {{pp-vandalism}} template on some articles. The template doesn't actually protect, it merely says (wrongly in these cases) that an article is protected. Only admins can actually protect. You can request protection at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Regards, Bishonen | talk 06:37, 7 October 2007 (UTC).[reply]
  • Impersonating an admin on Wikipedia is a serious offense, and can get you blocked without further action. Putting a "protected" tag on an article equates impersonating a moderator. If you continue to engage in this behavior, you WILL be reported to admin. -- Elaich talk 09:03, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your diligence, Elaich, but please assume good faith. Anyway, I'm an admin, so it's not necessary to report Extremecircuitz to anybody. Bishonen | talk 09:24, 7 October 2007 (UTC).[reply]
I apologize, I did not realize that it was an offense. I will not do it again, thank you for informing me. Extremecircuitz (Talk) 16:24, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's absolutely fine, I know you were trying to help. Do feel free to request protection at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection, but it's only going to happen if there's a lot of recent vandalism. Admins try to leave articles editable for as much of the time as possible. Bishonen | talk 18:03, 7 October 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Thank you for making that! — Extremecircuitz (Talk | Userboxes page) 19:34, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
