Interface administrator changes
- An RfC on the administrator resysop criteria was closed. 18 proposals have been summarised with a variety of supported and opposed statements. The inactivity grace period within which a new request for adminship is not required has been reduced from three years to two. Additionally, Bureaucrats are permitted to use their discretion when returning administrator rights.
- Following a proposal, the edit filter mailing list has been opened up to users with the Edit Filter Helper right.
- Wikimedia projects can set a default block length for users via MediaWiki:ipb-default-expiry. A new page, MediaWiki:ipb-default-expiry-ip, allows the setting of a different default block length for IP editors. Neither is currently used. (T219126)
- Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee Elections is open to eligible editors until Monday 23:59, 2 December 2018 UTC. Please review the candidates and, if you wish to do so, submit your choices on the voting page.

Legobot
User:Legobot removed my GA nomination here [3], with an edit summary of "Maintenance". How is removing GA nominations maintenance? The reason I put Katherine Hughes (activist) under Magazines and print journalism was because she was a journalist, and the topic area includes journalists. Still, I'm not sure why your bot would remove a GA nomination. If there's something I'm missing from this context, can you please explain? I'm kind of confused about why this happened. - (talk page watcher) @Clovermoss: It was removed because Talk:Katherine Hughes (activist) does not have a
{{GA nominee}}
template (and never has had one). Make sure that you follow the directions at the top of the page, including those at WP:GAN/I#Step 2: Nominating the article exactly; if you fail to do this, Legobot won't treat it as a GA nom. In this case, you would use{{subst:GAN|subtopic=Magazines and print journalism}}

- @Clovermoss: Now that you've done that, Legobot has done this, along with some other housekeeping that users don't normally see. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 14:38, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
