A vandal and troll from South America, Gabucho181 has been known to have an interest on television programmes that run on Discovery Family, such as My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and Dan Vs. and vandalizing related articles while stalking users as his edits were reverted. He was also known to vandalize the Spanish Wikipedia and Wikia.
Since creating a January 2015 sockpuppet, he had made claims to deceive editors by frequently stating that he would retire and vanish from Wikipedia, though this has never occurred and his vandalism continues.
Targeted areas, pages, themes
Gabucho181 primarily vandalizes pages related to television networks and series, including, but not limited to Discovery Family (formerly known as The Hub), Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and others. He especially targets Dan Vs.-related articles, in the form of bogus information relating to a 4th season premiering on either Cartoon Network, Boomerang (TV channel) and other unlikely channels such as Pop (U.S. TV network), along with unlikely cancellations of popular series on those networks to 'make room' for that show (cable networks have plenty of other timeslots to move programming to, and expelling entire series from a cable network is very rare). Another issue that occurs between the fall and winter involves continual guessing on categories, hosts and venues for the upcoming Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards ceremony (this has caused annual protection of that article and the adjoining ceremony article in the months and weeks leading up to it). He has been also known to branch out to other articles, such as pages of radio stations, to Clarín Group and El Trece.
Habitual behavior
While his earlier socks blanked entire targeted pages and left and childishly accepted his own blank unblock requests, since 2015, Gabucho181 often vandalizes his targeted articles by stating false claims of television series being revived after cancellation and/or moved to a different channel, primarily Cartoon Network, or blatantly stating that certain companies, almost exclusively television-related, like Grupo Clarin, are subsidiaries of other companies or merged to such companies, but identified as vandalism on these pages. The edit summaries he leaves for his edits are often intended to taunt fellow users and are also often profane and disparaging. He then often admits that his accounts are sockpuppets of himself, but as his edits are reverted, he ignores his warnings by stating that references aren't important for articles, and stalks and harasses fellow users, including Geraldo Perez, EvergreenFir and ToonLucas22. He does the same when he gets reported or blocked by making invalid, profane unblock requests which are hastily declined.
He was also known to hop through IP's to vandalize articles (The IP's often begin with 181, 186, 190, 200, and 201). After being blocked, he would often swap for another IP or create a named account. There was one incidence of him using proxies in attempt to conceal his location (e.g., one of his proxies Geolocated to Luxembourg), but the tone of the vandalism was like his, and they were blocked as a result. One proxy Geolocating to New York dated from April 2015, but the vandalism became the likes of Gabucho's in July 2015 and was blocked. Yet another proxy was used alongside the Brooklyn IP as seen here and was blocked by Cyphoidbomb.
In February 2017, they used a range of IP's to create non-sensical move proposals for Oxygen (TV network) (for a network re-focus where the network's name ended up not changing at all) and Nickelodeon (out of boredom and an opinion that the network's ratings issues should cause a downgrade in article name primacy; another name-change nom was attempted in September for the same reason); they were revealed when they began to edit about Dan Vs. once again. 142.234.64.0/20 and 162.211.126.240/29 were thus rangeblocked as VPN proxies. In August 2017, they started targeting Пугачов Иван Петрович by falsely accusing them of sockpuppetry, creating reports at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Пугачов Иван without a valid reason, even going as far as edit warring with the accounts they believed to be the sockpuppets. This later expanded into including the user at Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Nikita as another false accusation.
