Fort Towson

York Township is one of six townships in Switzerland County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,072 and it contained 450 housing units.[1]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 24.23 square miles (62.8 km2), of which 23.73 square miles (61.5 km2) (or 97.94%) is land and 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2) (or 2.06%) is water.[3]
