George Morse Collinsworth[a] (1810–1866) was a Texian soldier, planter, and civil servant.[2] He came to Brazoria County in 1832, during the Revolution, and saw action in the battle of Velasco later that year.[2] He was also involved in the capture the Mexican garrison at Goliad on October 9, 1835.[2]
