Mestizo (born March 6, 1981)[1][2] is an American rapper from Los Angeles, California.[4] He is a co-founder of Machina Muerte.[5][6] He resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[7]

Career

In 2004, Mestizo released his solo debut album, Life Like Movie, on Galapagos4.[8] In 2005, he released a collaborative album with Mike Gao, titled Blindfaith, on the label.[9]

In 2007, he released an album, Dream State.[10] It featured contributions from Julian Code, Murs, Qwel, and 2Mex.[11] He released two more solo albums, Elecholo in 2010[12] and De'Nir in 2012.[13]

He was featured on K-the-I???'s "Man or Machine" off of Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow (2008)[14] and Sole and the Skyrider Band's "Vaya Con El Diablo" off of Hello Cruel World (2011).[15]

In 2014, Mestizo released a six-track EP, Underlord.[16] In 2015, he released a collaborative EP with Isaiah Toothtaker, titled Everybody's Enemy.[17]

Mestizo and Doseone have formed a group called A7pha. The duo released the self-titled debut album, A7pha, on Anticon in 2017.[18][19]

He released a collaborative EP with The Heavy Twelves, titled Big Bad Death, on Fake Four Inc. in 2018.[20]
