This page could use an explanation for how dividing the territory helped the mining companies and the Union get silver. It's not in the Marshall Trimble video that's cited. I've read that the people who wanted to separate Arizona wanted to escape control by the Hispanic majority in the New Mexico, but I can't find a good source for that at the moment. —JerryFriedman (Talk) 20:21, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
