Check out the Matamoros, Tamaulipas under the History section, on the American Civil War. I provided several creditable citations, where the port of Bagdad is mentioned. This can help cite things here, too. ComputerJA (talk) 01:22, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This author refers to Bagdad as a "mushroom city." I don't know if that's meant literally or what. [1] --MopTop (talk) 13:26, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

• @MopTop: No idea either. Not a lot of things grew near Bagdad anyways because it was on the beach (there is a community there now but mushrooms don't stand out as important). Perhaps it meant something back in the day? It's hard to know because Googling "Mushroom City" pulls stuff from Super Mario. MX (✉ • ✎) 15:11, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
